This house is designed for a family of three with a separate elderly quarter. It will house a party room, with large poolside deck. The house is located on a sloped site with a panoramic view of the lake. The wind access to the site is from the lake on the south side, as there is no obstruction.

The house mass has to be designed to provide self-shading and therefore the masses are oriented in a north-south direction, in a stepping configuration with consideration to privacy from the neighboring house. This configuration provides each outdoor pocket space with shades for daytime use. The massing placement also takes into consideration affected view of the neighboring house to the north.
