This hillside family home, located in Rayong, touches lightly on the ground while overlooking the Gulf of Thailand’s sea. The main living space faces full sea view on the south. The space is cooled by the sea breeze, with optimized horizontal overhang which was simulated to ensure year-round comfort. A pocket courtyard provides green internal view and ventilation path for rooms inside. Strategic openings allow the prevailing breeze to reach rooms on the other side as well. Operable louvers provide an additional layer of control for the dwellers’ privacy.
