The house is designed for a family of four with a guest quarter/multi-purpose and one lap pool. The main living and multi-purpose areas are oriented in a north-south direction, with dining area connecting the two, generating an inner courtyard. The pool is located on the south side for privacy while this also enhances evaporative cooling into the main living area. All major rooms can be naturally ventilated when needed. The courtyard is designed so that it is shaded for comfortable day time use.
