The house is designed for a family with 2 children. The site is located in the same plot as the parents’ existing house. The design connects the green area of the two houses together.

 

The main living/dining area is oriented in the north-south direction to reduce incident solar radiation. Set-back distance from the existing house and the neighbor is done to allow for privacy and wind access. The main functional area is designed to be naturally ventilated when outside air permits. Cross ventilation is possible for all bedrooms.
